Our interest in the Second amendment came at a surprisingly young age. At just 10 years old, I walked into a convenience store and within a few seconds I ended up pistol-whipped and leaving in an ambulance for medical care. From that point on, I took a strong interest in self defense and protection. To be blunt, I had entered that store as a child and left as a man nursing his bruises.
Luckily, I escaped that robbery with minimal physical damage.
Yes, I have scar from the 14 stitches but the real damage was emotional. I struggled with the feelings of helplessness and for many years suffered from some form of PTSD from that event.
As an adolescent, I tried every type of self-defense training that I could find. From mixed martial arts to street boxing. Each program had its merits but at the end of the day, there was only one thing that could have changed the situation I found myself in back then.
As an adult, I got my CCW permit literally the first week I was eligible. It was not a straight forward process and that is what initially gave me the idea to start a website that presented laymans version of each states’ conceal carry permit process.
We have seen over the past decade how the entire firearms industry can impact policy in our country. With each state changing their CCW laws frequently, we realized how important it was to have a resource online to help citizens get their permits and understand what their rights are when the travel over state lines.
We hope our site helps you protect yourself and your family.
